Liverpool have reportedly offered James Milner a new contract, with the 36-year-old set to put pen to paper on a new one-year deal.

Despite being a fringe player, Milner has still appeared in 35 games this season, assisting three goals in that period.

With Milner's contract set to expire in June, there have been question marks about whether he would remain at Anfield beyond the summer.

However, according to The Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp has asked the Reds to offer the veteran a new one-year deal, with the Liverpool boss keen to keep a player who can play in a variety of positions.

In contrast, the report also states that Mohamed Salah's future is much more uncertain, with the Egyptian international yet to commit his future to Liverpool.

Salah has just over a year left on his contract, and the 29-year-old could potentially leave on a free transfer in the summer of 2023.
