Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has reportedly pleaded with his parent club to allow him to join Besiktas on a free transfer at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
The 26-year-old has been on loan with Besiktas for the last two seasons, making 64 appearances in all competitions for the Turkish giants.
As it stands, the German will return to Anfield this summer, but according to Fotospor, the goalkeeper has asked the Reds to allow him to leave for free.
The report claims that Besiktas, who are currently seventh in the Super Lig table, are keen to keep Karius beyond this season but would not be able to meet Liverpool's alleged asking price.
The former Manchester City youngster has made 49 appearances for his parent club in all competitions, including 33 outings during the 2017-18 campaign.
The stopper's current deal with Jurgen Klopp's side will expire next summer.
