Lucas Leiva has admitted that he does not know if he will still be at Liverpool when the winter transfer window closes.
The Brazilian midfielder has been regularly linked with a January switch away from Anfield, with Rafael Benitez - who signed him for the Reds - thought to be keen on taking him to Napoli.
Lucas has found himself with a new lease of life under manager Brendan Rodgers in recent months, having started just five games in all competitions up until late November.
"It is normal when you are out of the team and have been at a club for a long time. There are always rumours in the transfer window and it will be like that until February 2," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"I would be lying if I said I never thought about something new but I can't tell you what is going to happen because it is football and we really don't know.
"I just focus on today and leave the future to take care of itself. We all know the relationship I have with Rafa [Benitez], I don't need to explain that."
Lucas, who joined the club from Gremio in 2007, is contracted to the Merseyside outfit until 2017.
