Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has reportedly verbally agreed to make the move to the Saudi Pro League during next summer's transfer window.

The Egypt international was the subject of huge interest from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad in the latter stages of the recent market, with the club thought to have made at least two offers for his services.

Liverpool ultimately resisted a sale, but there remains speculation surrounding Salah's future, as his contract with the Reds is due to expire in the summer of 2025.

The 31-year-old has again been in strong form for Jurgen Klopp's side this season, scoring 10 goals and registering four assists in 14 appearances in all competitions.

Meanwhile, he has scored 196 goals and registered 83 assists in 319 appearances for the Merseyside giants since his arrival from Roma in the summer of 2017.

According to Football Insider, Salah has 'agreed in principle' to make the move to Saudi Arabia next summer, with the move 'a done deal'.

The report claims that Salah's head has been turned by the incredible amount of money that can be earned by making the switch to Saudi's top division.

However, at this stage, it is unclear whether Al-Ittihad are leading the race, with other clubs in the top flight believed to be interested in his signature.

Salah has won the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Champions League, Community Shield, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup during his time with Liverpool.

There have long been suggestions that he wants a fresh challenge before the end of his career, though, and a move to Saudi Arabia has allegedly now been verbally agreed.

Al-Hilal, Al Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad are the four clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund, and they have done the bulk of the standout business in the division this year.

Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne is also said to be a leading target for Saudi Arabian officials, with the Belgium international believed to be open to discussing a transfer next year.

Al Hilal are currently the team at the top of the Saudi Pro League, boasting 32 points from their opening 12 matches of the season.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr, who famously signed Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this year, are second on 25 points, with the reigning champions Al-Ittihad currently down in sixth, some 11 points off the summit. body check tags ::
