The agent of Lyon attacker Nabil Fekir has denied that Liverpool are on the verge of completing a £60m deal for his client.
Reports emerged yesterday that Fekir and his agent Jean-Pierre Bernes were due to travel to Liverpool today in order to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical ahead of his proposed move to Anfield.
However, while Bernes has confirmed that Liverpool are interested in the 24-year-old France international, he has insisted that no agreement has been reached and suggested that Fekir could still join a different club.
"I did not leave Marseille [this weekend]. I am with my family, but I will be clear, we will go with Nabil to Liverpool or elsewhere when there is an agreement with Lyon and if [Lyon president] Jean-Michel Aulas gives the green light," Bernes is quoted as saying by Le Progres.
"Liverpool's interest exists, but for the moment nothing is done and other clubs could come in. The window will be long."
Liverpool are understood to be eager to complete the deal before the World Cup in order to avoid Fekir's price rising during the tournament.
