Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirivella is reportedly on the brink of signing for Nantes on a free transfer.
While the player has been contracted to the Merseyside giants since 2015, he has made just six starts and five substitute outings in all competitions.
Although loan periods at the likes of Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II were regarded as a success, the 22-year-old has failed to make a sustained impact in the first-team squad at Anfield.
According to 20 Minutes, the Spaniard has made the decision to link up with Nantes later in 2020.
The report claims that his new club will formally announce the deal next week, confirming that Chirivella has penned terms until 2023.
Ligue 1 was recently brought to a halt due to the coronavirus pandemic, leaving Nantes in 13th position in the standings.
