Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Newcastle United.
Mignolet has made 22 appearances for Liverpool during the current campaign, but the Belgian stopper has made just one outing since New Year's Day after losing his place in the starting lineup to Loris Karius.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has publicly stated that he now sees Karius as his number one and it has led to a number of clubs allegedly showing an interest in Mignolet.
According to the Daily Star, Newcastle are considering whether to make an approach for the 30-year-old, who represented North-East rivals Sunderland earlier in his career.
Czech Republic international Martin Dubravka is currently impressing on loan at St James' Park, but Rafael Benitez is said to be weighing up his options ahead of the summer.
Mignolet still has over three years remaining on his contract at Anfield.
