Newcastle United have been linked with a fresh move for Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.
The Magpies failed with a bid to take the England international on loan with a view to a £12m transfer in the summer, and instead he was farmed out to West Ham United.
However, the Newcastle Chronicle has now reported that manager Alan Pardew is still keen on bringing Carroll back to St James' Park at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old left the club for £35m in the 2011 January transfer window, but failed to establish himself in the Reds' first team.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly told him that he is not part of his plans at Anfield.
