Gus Poyet has said that Fabio Borini is taking "too long" to decide whether he will make the permanent switch to Sunderland this summer.
The Italian spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light from Liverpool, and the two clubs agreed a fee for him to return earlier in the summer, but the deal is yet to be completed.
The manager told Sky Sports News: "I think we're getting close to a final decision either way because it's been a bit too long. It's time now that it's a yes coming or a no, as we need to move on."
The striker joined Liverpool from Parma in 2012.
