West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis outlines his desire to keep striker Saido Berahino at The Hawthorns this month amid interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has revealed that he is determined to keep Saido Berahino at the club.

The 21-year-old has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in the transfer window, but Pulis feel that the striker is integral to keeping his team in the Premier League.

The new Baggies boss is also adamant that he has seen no problems with the England Under-21 international's attitude in his brief time with the team, and is hopeful that will continue throughout his tenure.

Pulis told reporters: "We would like to keep him, he has not been sulking around in the corner. The most important thing is the club stays up in the Premier League. He is scoring goals and been a pleasure to work with.

"People talk about the kids' attitude and this, that and the other. He has no dirty slate with me to start with, I have just come in through the door. He has been the last on the training field doing a bit extra. I have been very impressed with his training.

"I think he has enjoyed what he has tried to do. The important thing is we make sure he has a clear mind when he goes out on the football pitch. I have had a chat with him about that and he has been absolutely smashing."

West Brom play Hull City in their Premier League clash later today at The Hawthorns.
