Departing RB Leipzig boss Ralf Rangnick has revealed that no offers have been made for Timo Werner and has encouraged the rumoured Liverpool and Bayern Munich target to sign a new deal.
Werner is into the final year of his existing contract and has turned down the chance to sign an extension.
The Germany international has been linked with Liverpool and Bayern, while Paris Saint-Germain may also be in the running.
However, Rangnick says no teams have stepped forward for the 23-year-old, who has scored 50 Bundesliga goals in the last three seasons.
"Timo is of the opinion that he does not want to extend the contract," he told Kicker. "So far, no club has reported their interest or said they would speak with Timo and want to sign him.
"It's not a good idea for Timo to go into the final year of his contract, which could be difficult for his relationship with the fans depending on how his performance turns out."
Rangnick will officially step down from his current role at Leipzig at the end of the month to become head of sport and development.
