Liverpool striker Danny Ings has reportedly travelled to Southampton ahead of a late switch to St Mary's Stadium on transfer deadline day.
The 26-year-old joined the Anfield side for £6.5m in 2015, but a string of injuries has limited the former Burnley forward to just 14 appearances.
A number of Premier League clubs have been linked with the wantaway forward over the summer, including Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, Leicester City and Cardiff City.
According to the Liverpool Echo, however, Ings is believed to be on his way to the south coast in order to finalise a switch to the Hampshire club.
The report states that, because the deal sheet has been submitted, the paperwork can be completed up until 7pm, and the move is likely to be an initial loan with a view to a permanent transfer.
Ings, who hails from Hampshire, began his fledgling career at Southampton but was released as a schoolboy.
