Flamengo forward Reinier will reportedly undergo a medical with Real Madrid ahead of completing a transfer to the Bernabeu this month.
Los Blancos had to fight off interest from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Liverpool in order to secure the player's signature.
Due to a clause in his contract, Reinier would have been able to leave Flamengo for free next summer, meaning that the Copa Libertadores champions had no choice but to let him go.
According to Diario AS, Real's medical team are in Brazil to oversee Reinier's medical today.
The player will then officially sign a six-and-a-half-year contract on his 18th birthday on January 19.
The La Liga side employed the same technique when capturing Vinicius Junior from Flamengo, signing the forward before he turned 18 to avoid competition from other clubs.
