Liverpool are reportedly preparing a January move for Porto midfielder Hector Herrera.
The Reds were linked with the Mexican international last summer, but it is understood that the Premier League club were not prepared to meet the asking price for the 26-year-old.
Manchester United and Juventus have both been credited with an interest in recent weeks, and according to A Bola, Liverpool are also in the race as head coach Jurgen Klopp seeks to improve his options in central midfield.
Herrera, who has scored four times in 46 appearances for Mexico, joined Porto from Pachuca in 2013 and is closing in on 150 league appearances for the Portuguese outfit.
