Napoli have reportedly reopened talks to sign Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina on a permanent deal from Anfield.
The Spain international spent last season on loan at the Serie A club under manager Rafael Benitez after Liverpool secured the signing of Simon Mignolet from Sunderland.
Widespread reports have claimed that Reina will look for a new club to join due to Reds boss Brendan Rodgers preferring Mignolet in the number one spot.
It appeared that Reina's permanent switch to Napoli was off when Benitez revealed last week that the club could not afford the shot-stopper's wages.
However, according to the Daily Star, after an initial deal failed to be agreed, Napoli have reopened discussions and are hopeful of sealing a deal with Reina by the end of the month.
The goalkeeper is currently at the World Cup in Brazil with Spain, who lost their opening game 5-1 to the Netherlands on Friday.
