French striker Loic Remy has taken a step closer to completing his proposed move to Liverpool after arriving at their Boston training camp to undergo a medical.
The Reds have met an £8.5m release clause in the contract of the Queens Park Rangers forward, who had previously interested Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Remy had been scheduled to take a Monday flight to America, where Brendan Rodgers and his team are preparing for the upcoming season, but he delayed his travels by 24 hours so he could be accompanied by his wife.
Sky Sports News reports that the 27-year-old has now joined up with the Anfield outfit, and is expected to be confirmed as Liverpool's fourth signing of the summer on Thursday.
Remy scored 14 goals in 28 Premier League games during a loan spell at Newcastle United last season and could join Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Emre Can and Lazar Markovic in moving to Merseyside.
