Dominic Solanke is reportedly close to joining Crystal Palace on loan from Liverpool after rejecting interest from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The England international is being loaned out by the Reds for the second half of 2018-19 in search of more regular playing time.
Solanke has yet to play a single minute for Liverpool this term, leading to a number of Premier League clubs stepping forward to offer the youngster a short-term deal.
Palace and Brighton are among the sides to have held talks with the 21-year-old and, according to The Guardian, the Eagles have won the race.
The Seagulls' one-striker approach, compared to Roy Hodgson's usual tactic to go with two up top, is said to have played a big part in Solanke's decision.
Fulham and Huddersfield Town are also believed to have approached Liverpool earlier this month to discuss a loan agreement.
