Liverpool will reportedly offer Southampton England striker Daniel Sturridge in exchange for Saints duo Virgil van Dijk and Sam McQueen.
Southampton have been linked with a loan move for Sturridge, who has struggled to win a first-team spot under Jurgen Klopp in the early months of the 2016-17 campaign.
It is understood that Klopp is not actively looking to sell the 27-year-old, but according to The Express, the German would be prepared to lose Sturridge if it meant landing Southampton pair Van Dijk and McQueen.
Van Dijk, who has also been linked with Manchester United, has developed into one of the Premier League's most impressive centre-backs since his arrival from Celtic.
McQueen, meanwhile, has broken into the Southampton first team this season, but the 21-year-old's current contract is due to expire at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
