Liverpool winger Stewart Downing has emerged as a reported transfer target of West Ham United.
The 28-year-old has long been linked with a move away from Anfield, having been told by manager Brendan Rodgers last November that he would accept an suitable bid for his services.
The Hammers have held initial talks with their Premier League counterparts regarding the England international, who is valued at £8m, according to The Guardian.
Downing joined the Merseysiders in the summer of 2011 for £20m.
