Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers reportedly flew to Germany last night to watch January transfer target Julian Draxler in action for Schalke 04.
The midfielder, who has been linked to both Chelsea and Arsenal, featured in the German outfit's 2-0 win over Basel in the final round of Champions League group games on Wednesday.
According to the Daily Mail, Rodgers was in the stands watching the 20-year-old with a possible move for the midfielder in mind.
Reports have claimed that Draxler is seen as a potential successor to current Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, who has been sidelined for four to six weeks with a hamstring injury.
