Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said that his side "need another striker" before the transfer window closes on September 1.
The Anfield boss has already brought in eight new faces, funded largely by the £75m sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona, but Rickie Lambert is the only direct competition to Daniel Sturridge.
After his side's 2-1 opening-day victory over Southampton, Rodgers revealed that he would like to do more business.
"I do still think we need another striker," Rodgers told Sky Sports.
"It is something that we will look at but that will depend on the availability of one. Sunday was about winning and we got there.
"So we will search for that through to the end of the window."
Liverpool's next game will see them travel to champions Manchester City in an 8pm kick off on Monday, August 25.
