Schalke 04 are reportedly keen for Liverpool to take up their option to sign Ozan Kabak on a permanent deal during this summer's transfer window.
The 20-year-old joined the Reds on loan at the start of February and has made two appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side in all competitions, starting and finishing the recent clashes with Leicester City and RB Leipzig.
As it stands, Kabak will return to Schalke this summer, but Liverpool are believed to have an option to sign the Turkey international on a permanent deal.
According to Fussball Transfers, the German side are already planning for life in the 2.Bundesliga as they are currently bottom of the Bundesliga table with just nine points to show from 21 matches.
The report claims that Schalke are hopeful that the financial problems that would arrive with relegation to the second tier will be eased by the sale of Kabak to the Premier League champions.
The centre-back could make his third outing for the Reds in Saturday's Merseyside derby with Everton.
