Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly hoping to beat Liverpool to the signature of Burnley striker Danny Ings this summer.
The England Under-21 international will become a free agent in June and has already announced his intention to leave Turf Moor.
It is believed that Burnley will offer Ings a new contract as a formality in order to gain around £5m or £6m in compensation under Premier League rules.
According to the London Evening Standard, Spurs will try to lure Ings to White Hart Lane after failing to land Southampton forward Jay Rodriguez, who signed a new four-year deal earlier this month.
Despite Tottenham's reported interest, Liverpool remain the favourites to land Ings's signature.
