Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly on the verge of signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho.
The Ligue 1 champions have already spent around €80m on two players this summer, signing midfielder Joao Neves from Benfica for an initial fee close to €60m as well as goalkeeper Matvey Safonov from Krasnodar for around €20m.
Luis Enrique's side are now targeting reinforcements in defence and according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the French giants have reached an agreement with Frankfurt to sign Pacho for €40m plus add-ons.
The 22-year-old is said to have agreed to put pen to paper on a five-year contract at PSG and will travel for his medical at some stage this week.
Pacho, who has been linked with Premier League clubs including Liverpool, is set to complete his third transfer in as many seasons having spent one season at Royal Antwerp before joining Frankfurt last summer, making 44 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions.
Ream set to end nine-year stay at Fulham?
Over in the Premier League, Fulham defender Tim Ream is reportedly close to completing a move to MLS outfit Charlotte FC.
The 36-year-old has made a total of 312 appearances for the Cottagers in all competitions since joining the club from Bolton Wanderers back in 2015.
Ream has celebrated promotion from the Championship three times over the last nine seasons, winning two playoff finals in 2018 and 2020 before lifting the second-tier title in 2022.
The experienced USA international has now entered the final year of his contract at Craven Cottage and according to Sky Sports News, Charlotte are close to signing the defender following ongoing discussions throughout the summer.
Both clubs are now said to be on the verge of reaching an agreement and a formal announcement is expected soon, with Ream set to join a Charlotte side managed by former Aston Villa and Norwich City boss Dean Smith.
Miovski 'wanted' by Southampton, Genoa, Espanyol
Staying in England and Southampton are reportedly set to battle with Serie A club Genoa for the signature of Aberdeen striker Bojan Miovski.
The 25-year-old has established himself as an integral first-team player for the Scottish side since joining in 2022, scoring 44 goals in 97 games across all tournaments.
Miovski still has two years remaining on his contract at Pittodrie, but the North Macedonia international continues to be linked with a move away from the Dons amid interest from clubs abroad.
According to the Daily Mail, both Southampton and Genoa are preparing to submit offers for Miovski, who is also the subject of a bid in the region of £3m from Espanyol
The report adds that Espanyol's opening offer fell significantly short of Aberdeen's £6.5m valuation of Miovski and it remains to be seen whether the Spanish side will return with an improved bid. body check tags ::
