Fabio Borini has been named among Liverpool's starting XI to face Roma in Thursday's pre-season friendly, despite reports that he is on the brink of joining Sunderland.
The Black Cats claim to have agreed terms with the Italian, who spent last season on loan at the Stadium of Light, but his selection suggests that the move may not be imminent.
Sunderland are said to have offered around £14m for Borini, who joined Liverpool in 2012.
Summer signing Rickie Lambert is partnering Borini in the attack tonight, while Lucas, Joe Allen and Philippe Coutinho make up a three-man midfield for the Reds.
Former Chelsea and England defender Ashley Cole has been named in the Roma starting XI.
