Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has declared that he will be ready for the World Cup despite having to undergo surgery earlier this week.
The 27-year-old, who scored 31 times for Liverpool last season, was initially a major doubt for this summer's tournament after it was revealed that he needed an operation on his knee.
However, after the successful surgery on Thursday morning, Suarez has taken to Twitter to tell supporters that he is confident of recovering in time.
"My dream remains intact, I'll be there," he said in a short message.
Uruguay begin their World Cup campaign against Costa Rica on June 19.
