Thiago Motta scored the only goal of the game as Paris Saint-Germain beat Lorient 1-0 tonight to move 12 points clear at the top of the Ligue 1 table.
The visitors, who were 12th in the league prior to kickoff, had the better of the early chances as Vincent Aboubakar dragged wide from 12 yards and Yann Jouffre tested Salvatore Sirigu with a long-distance drive.
PSG's start to the match was further disrupted with an injury to influential defender Thiago Silva, who was forced off with an niggle on the half-hour mark and replaced by former Chelsea star Alex.
