Saint-Etienne have reached the quarter-finals of the Coupe de la Ligue thanks to a 1-0 victory over Lorient this evening.
Chances were hard to come by in the first half, but Lorient's Mathias Autret was denied by Saint-Etienne keeper Stephane Ruffier just before the break.
The visitors then scored the only goal of the game moments after the interval when Romain Hamouma finished off Kevin Monnet-Paquet's pass after a long kick from Ruffier.
That would prove to be enough for Les Verts, who are flying high in Ligue 1 as well, at the Stade Yves Allainmat-Le Moustoir.
