Lyon coach Remi Garde has admitted his disappointment at his side's 1-1 home draw with Saint-Etienne in Ligue 1 on Sunday.
Yoann Gourcuff scored for the hosts in the early minutes of the second half to cancel out Kurt Zouma's first-half goal for Christophe Galtier's team.
"Each team had its half," Garde told reporters. "Saint-Etienne the first, Lyon the second. We tried to adjust certain tactical positions and that allowed us to come back into the game.
"The final score seems a logical one. If you don't win at home, naturally you have regrets, but we've kept hold of third place, so our destiny is in our hands.
"[Yoann Gourcuff] scored an important goal. He looked inspired and was fully committed to the team's cause."
Lyon are currently third in the league table with 60 points from 34 matches.
