Lyon midfielder Lisandro Lopez has claimed that a change of his role in the side has been the reason for his drop in his goals and assists this season.
The Argentinian said that despite not scoring as much as he would have liked, he believes that he is playing well in his unfamiliar left wing role.
"I've got a more defensive role this season and my role on the pitch isn't the same," he told Ligue1.com. "The priority is to help out the team and do a job for it.
"We're not going to talk about my position, even if I would like to have more goals and assists against my name. That said, I don't think I'm doing a bad job."
Lopez's Lyon are currently third in Ligue 1.
