Monaco kept up the pressure on Paris Saint-Germain at Ligue 1's summit thanks to a 3-2 victory at Lyon this afternoon.
The visitors took the lead inside the first five minutes when Dimitar Berbatov found Valere Germain to fire home from inside the area.
Berbatov was the supplier again for Monaco when they doubled their lead in the 27th minute. This time the Bulgarian fed James Rodriguez, who converted from close range.
Lyon managed to cut the deficit before half time through Jimmy Briand before Berbatov got in on the act, restoring Monaco's two-goal lead seven minutes after the interval.
Brian's second made it a nervy finish for Claudio Ranieri's men but they held on to close the gap to PSG to five points.
