Macclesfield Town earned a lucrative replay against Sheffield Wednesday after Steve Williams cancelled out Reda Johnson's first-half opener this afternoon.
Macclesfield were the lowest-ranked team left in the competition in terms of league position going into the match, and looked nervous as Sheffield Wednesday controlled the opening exchanges.
It was Macclesfield who came closest to scoring early on, however, when Joe Connor's header was cleared off the line.
This gave the hosts confidence and they grew into the game, but their good work was undone when they failed to defend a Stephen McPhail corner, allowing Johnson to head in the opener.
The goal gave the visitors the chance to reassert their dominance and Jose Semedo soon forced a save from Rhys Taylor having looked certain to score.
The away side then missed a great chance to double their lead when Adthe Nuhiu glanced wide from a corner.
After the break, Macclesfield came out with renewed determination and both Steve Williams and Chris Holroyd saw their headers go wide.
Owls keeper Damian Martinez then had to push Danny Whitaker's effort over the bar as the visitors held on to their lead, but their resistance didn't last long as Williams stretched out a leg to poke home Paul Turnbull's ball into the box and put Macclesfield on level terms.
Neither side could find a winner, meaning they will play again at Wednesday's Hillsborough Stadium for the chance to advance to the next round.
