Malaga captain Weligton has insisted that he and his teammates are "confident" of beating Borussia Dortmund at home on Wednesday.
The Spanish club will host the defending German champions in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at La Rosaleda.
"The atmosphere couldn't be better among our group," the defender told reporters on Tuesday. "We all know just how important this match is but we are confident. We hope to be able to play our football and get a good result.
"The best eight teams are left in the competition and now we are at that stage the games are very balanced. We know we will have to play the perfect game and be attentive for 90 minutes against Dortmund. For the city, for the fans, this is something special. But in our squad we have players and a coach who have been here before.
"We don't live on the basis of dreams, we do so looking at the reality of the situation. We have achieved great results, great wins in this tournament. If there are favourites, we will see who they are out on the pitch tomorrow."
The second leg of the tie will be played in Germany next week.
