Sports Mole's player ratings of the Champions League Group A match between Malmo and Juventus at the Swedbank Stadion.

Juventus claimed a 2-0 victory against Malmo to boost their hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stages.

The Italian champions took the lead when Fernando Llorente rounded the keeper and slotted home, before Carlos Tevez added a second goal late on.

Here Sports Mole takes a look at who impressed during an important 90 minutes in Europe.

MALMO:

Goal

Robin Olsen: Top performance from the keeper, who made a number of fine saves to keep Juventus at bay. He could not really have done much about either goal and the scoreline may have been much worse for his side if he wasn't playing. (7/10)

Defence

Erik Johansson: Was at fault in the build up to Juventus' second goal and was eventually sent off for complaining to the referee. (5/10)

Anton Tinnerholm: Never really got to grips with the away side's forward players and allowed them plenty of space to test his keeper. (6/10)

Filip Helander: Could have done better for the first goal when Llorente ran in behind him to score. Was left exposed for the second and did not offer Olsen too much protection. (6/10)

Ricardinho: Was unable to cause any problems down the wing and was caught out a few times by Lichtsteiner. (6/10)

Midfield

Markus Halsti: Found it hard to compete against the quality of the Juventus midfield and struggled to get into the match. (6/10)

Magnus Eriksson: Looked lively when he get on the ball, but far too often his decision making let him down. (6/10)

Enoch Adu: Tried to get forward as much as he could to support his team's attacks and forced Buffon into a rare save in the second half. (6/10)

Emil Forsberg: Struggled to have a real impact on the game like his fellow midfielders, but he did play a couple of dangerous passes that caused problems for the visitors' defence. (6/10)

Attack

Markus Rosenberg: Linked up well with Thelin in the first half, but saw less of the ball as the game wore on. Had a low strike saved by Buffon deep into stoppage time. (6/10)

Isaac Kiese Thelin: One of the most encouraging displays for the hosts. The striker always looked to pose a threat and he was never shy to have a shot on goal. (7/10)

Substitutes

Erdal Rakip: Did not see much of the ball when he arrived on the pitch. (6/10)

Pawel Cibicki: Came on for Thelin, but did not offer as much threat. (6/10)

JUVENTUS:

Goal

Gianluigi Buffon: Not the most strenuous of evenings for the keeper, but dealt with everything that came his way with confidence. (6/10)

Defence

Stephan Lichtsteiner: Energetic display as ever from the Swiss international. Got up and down the right wing all evening and caused lots of problems for the Malmo defence. (7/10)

Leonardo Bonucci: Comfortable night for the centre back, who was rarely troubled by the home side's forwards. (7/10)

Giorgio Chiellini: Another solid performance from the defender, who dealt well with everything that came his way. (7/10)

Simone Padoin: Was rarely troubled and was able to get forward to good effect as the game wore on. (7/10)

Midfield

Paul Pogba: Powerful and confident showing from the Frenchman. He set up the second goal for Tevez and dominated the midfield. (8/10)

Andrea Pirlo: Showed some quality touches as you would expect. Almost set up Marchisio with a fine pass over the defence in the first half and never gave the ball away. (7/10)

Claudio Marchisio: Constantly tested Olsen, but was unable to find a way past the keeper. It was his through-ball that set up Llorente for Juventus's first goal, in an all-round fine display. (8/10)

Attack

Arturo Vidal: Was involved in a number of his team's attacks and always looked to get forward at every opportunity. (7/10)

Fernando Llorente: Scored the first goal for Juventus with a well-taken finish after rounding the keeper. Had a couple more attempts to score before he was replaced by Morata. (8/10)

Carlos Tevez: Another energetic and committed showing from the Argentine. Missed a few chances to score, before finding the net in the final two minutes. (7/10)

Substitutes

Roberto Pereyra: Picked up a booking just moments after coming on, but slotted well into the midfield. (6/10)

Alvaro Morata: Missed a huge chance to score for Juventus when he hit the bar from just a few yards out. (5/10)
