Manchester City defender John Stones has claimed that Celtic are capable of causing an upset in tomorrow night's group match at Parkhead.
Pep Guardiola's side are looking for their 11th consecutive win in all competitions when they travel to Glasgow, but their Scottish opponents have stunned teams in the past.
In previous European tournaments, the Bhoys have beaten Barcelona and Manchester United, and despite Brendan Rodgers's men getting hammered 7-0 by the Catalan giants in their opening group match, Stones is not taking them lightly.
"If you look Celtic have taken some big scalps in this competition," The Express quotes Stones as saying. "They have beaten Barcelona and Manchester United up there so you have got to take them seriously.
"We will be the favourites for most people but it does not count for anything once the game starts. They have got quality in their side, otherwise they would not be in the Champions League.
"We have worked hard to get here ourselves so it is a game we will be fully up for, as they will be. We do not just go there expecting to win it, even if other people see it that way, we respect our opposition. Every game in the Champions League is very important and is never easy."
City's first group game ended in a 4-0 victory over Borussia Monchengladbach.
