Manchester City director of football Txiki Begiristain has claimed that the team will not find it "easy" against Dynamo Kiev when they go head to head in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Compared to City's Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal, Manuel Pellegrini's side were handed a rather favourable draw after they topped Group D last week.
Arsenal were drawn reigning champions Barcelona, while Chelsea will face Paris Saint-Germain for a third season in a row.
"It's never easy, again in this round," Begiristain told BT Sport. "They have shown in the group stage against Chelsea that they have a good side and it is going to be difficult for us.
"We are growing and growing in this competition and we are going to fight. We have to be ready to try to improve in this competition."
City have never reached the quarter-finals of the tournament.
