Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that his team is good enough to win this season's Champions League.
The Blues' hopes of reaching the last 16 currently hang in the balance after taking just two points from their opening three games in Group E.
However, ahead of CSKA Moscow's trip to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, Pellegrini believes that his side can still go all the way this year.
"Of course our target is always to try to win the Champions League. We must put in our mind that we are able to do it, that we have a good squad," the Chilean is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"Maybe there are five or six squads better than our squad or at the same level as our squad that also want to do it, but with a winning mentality and an ambitious mind, you must always think you can do it. I think we have time to prove it."
City head into Wednesday's match on the back of a 1-0 win over local rivals Manchester United in the Premier League.
