Barcelona striker Luis Suarez believes that Lionel Messi's penalty miss has ensured that Manchester City remain competitive in the Champions League tie between the two clubs.
After Suarez had helped Barcelona into a 2-1 advantage, the Catalan giants were handed an opportunity to extend their lead after Messi was fouled in the penalty area by Pablo Zabaleta.
However, City stopper Joe Hart saved the resulting spot kick from the Argentine, and Suarez, who was returning to England after leaving Liverpool in the summer, believes that his team have missed a chance to gain full control of the two-legged fixture.
The 28-year-old told ITV Sport: "I think they still have a chance. If they lost the game 3-1, that is really difficult for them, but 2-1 is a good result for them."
The second leg will take place at Camp Nou on March 18.
