With the latest edition of the FIFA franchise set to be released on October 1, fans have been intrigued to see how players for their teams rank, after EA Sports dropped the top 100 players earlier this month.
Ahead of the Web App launch on September 22, Ultimate Team website FUTBIN has released the full FIFA 22 database, and Manchester City fans can now check to see whether their stars have received an upgrade or a downgrade.
Each rating is powered by the Ratings Collective, a talent scouting network who assess players across more than 30 attributes to create the official FIFA 22 ratings.
Here, Sports Mole picks out the highlights of Man City's ratings and provides the full list of Pep Guardiola's squad ahead of the game's release.
Kevin De Bruyne – 91
Despite another injury-hit campaign for the Citizens last season, Kevin De Bruyne was still able to stand out above everyone in Guardiola's side, showing why he is one of the world's best midfielders.
For the fourth successive year, the Belgium international has been rated 91 overall for FIFA 22 – the joint-third highest rated player in the game and the joint-highest in the Premier League, along with Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
His card stats have stayed exactly the same as they were last year, with the only difference being his position change from CAM to CM.
De Bruyne remains City's best passer on FIFA with a rating of 93, the highest rating for this trait in the entire game this year. The 30-year-old notched up an impressive 12 Premier League assists in 2020-21, taking his domestic total to 78 in a Sky Blue shirt.
The playmaker, who featured on several occasions as a false nine last term, has the most lethal shot in City's squad once again with a rating of 86, four greater than any of his teammate.
Ederson – 89
Man City's second highest rated player in the game is goalkeeper Ederson, who has received an upgrade from 88 to 89 this year, his highest ever overall rating by EA Sports.
Last season's Golden Glove winner, who kept 19 Premier League clean sheets, has also received upgrades in his diving, speed and positioning stats compared to FIFA 21.
Ederson's exceptional distribution has once again been recognised as his kicking attribute remains at 93, more than any other goalkeeper in the game.
Ranked as the joint-highest rated Premier League goalkeeper – along with Brazil teammate and Liverpool stopper Alisson Becker – the 28-year-old remains one of the most sought-after items in the world of FIFA Ultimate Team.
Raheem Sterling – 88
Despite falling out of favour during the latter stages of last season, Raheem Sterling's impressive Euro 2020 campaign with England has reminded everyone of the forward's talent as one of the best players in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old keeps hold of his 88 overall rating but has seen three attributes on his card receive downgrades, with his pace and physical stats dropping down by two to 91 and 66 respectively, while his dribbling has declined from 90 to 87.
Sterling's eye for goal over the summer has been recognised, however, as his shooting trait has increased to 82. As well as scoring 14 times across all competitions for City last season, the forward found the net three times for England at Euro 2020, as they progressed all the way to their first major tournament final since 1966.
