Norwich City have held Manchester City to a goalless first half at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.
The hosts dominated the match from kickoff, and twice came close to an early goal as Kelechi Iheanacho benefited from a defensive mix-up to force a save from Norwich keeper John Ruddy, before the England international kept out a Wilfried Bony effort from 18 yards.
Man City almost took the lead minutes later, as Iheanacho found Bony in a good position but the Ivorian fired wide from 12 yards out.
Norwich came close to a goal against the run of play as Robbie Brady played in winger Matt Jarvis, before the West Ham United loanee forced an acrobatic save from Joe Hart from the edge of the penalty area.
Ruddy produced a good save to keep out a Yaya Toure free kick in the top corner, before Vincent Kompany headed narrowly wide from an Aleksandar Kolarov corner on the stroke of half time.
