Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has confirmed that he is back in training with the Citizens.
The Frenchman has had a torrid time with injuries since arriving in the Premier League and has been forced to watch from the sidelines since October with a muscle problem.
Pep Guardiola's worries on the left-hand side of defence have been eased by the recent returns of Nathan Ake and Oleksandr Zinchenko, while Joao Cancelo has often filled in at left-back this season as well.
In a further boost for City, Mendy took to Instagram to confirm that he has ramped up preparations for his return, responding: "Yes I started again and everything is going well" when asked if he would be back in action soon.
The 26-year-old could therefore be back in the fold for City's trip to Tottenham Hotspur after the international break, with Guardiola's men currently 10th in the table after seven matches.
Mendy has turned out 58 times during his injury-plagued stint at the Etihad Stadium, with the defender still waiting to score his first goal for the English powerhouses.
