Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that Joe Hart and Raheem Sterling are likely to miss the upcoming England friendlies against Germany and the Netherlands.
Both players were forced off the field during City's 1-0 defeat to local rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon.
England boss Roy Hodgson only named his 24-man squad on Thursday, but Pellegrini is now expecting the duo to be sidelined for up to a month each.
"Both of them have muscle injuries. Raheem his groin and Joe in his calf," Pellegrini told reporters.
"I don't think that a muscle injury you can be fit in one week. Normally three or four weeks."
Official confirmation of any changes to the squad is not expected until Monday.
