The Norway national team doctor has eased injury fears over Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, who limped out of training on Tuesday.

Haaland was sidelined for almost two months earlier this season and missed 10 matches in all tournaments with a foot injury, before making a welcome return to the Citizens side as a substitute against Burnley at the end of January.

The 23-year-old has since started each of City's last 11 games, scoring 10 goals in the process to increase his tally for the season to 29 from 34 appearances across all competitions.

Haaland was seen in discomfort towards the end of Man City's 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Newcastle United last weekend and was eventually withdrawn by manager Pep Guardiola, who later played down any injury fears.

"He is not my player anymore from now on, what they [Norway] will decide will be fine," Guardiola told reporters after the match.

"They know that they fought a lot and train a lot, a lot of adrenaline and concentration to arrive in this position. They know they are friendly games and they have to handle it wisely. Hopefully they can do it."

Haaland has since linked up with his Norwegian teammates ahead of international friendlies against the Czech Republic on Friday and Slovenia the following Tuesday.

However, footage has emerged on social media of Haaland in some discomfort as he limped across the training field trying to shake off an apparent knee/lower leg issue.

Multiple reports have stated that Haaland was unable to complete the first-team training session on Tuesday, with the striker now emerging as a doubt for Friday's clash with the Czech Republic.

Nevertheless, Man City and Norway have seemingly received a boost regarding Haaland's fitness, as The Athletic correspondent Sam Lee has taken to 'X' to relay an interview from Norwegian news outlet TV2 during which Norway's team doctor revealed there is "no problem" with the striker, even though he limped out of training.

Norway manager Stale Solbakken will be keen to have Haaland fit and available during this month's international break, while Guardiola and co will hope that the striker can return to Man City unscathed ahead of their Premier League showdown with title rivals Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on March 31.

Man City are also sweating over the fitness of star playmaker Kevin De Bruyne, who was omitted from the Belgium squad last week due to a groin injury, while goalkeeper Ederson is a doubt for the Arsenal clash with a muscle problem sustained in a 1-1 draw at Liverpool on March 10. body check tags ::
