Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi could be a doubt for the club's game with Norwich City in just over a week, according to a report.
The 31-year-old is currently the only fit centre-half available to Pep Guardiola with John Stones still recovering from injury, Aymeric Laporte out until 2020 and no replacement having been acquired for Vincent Kompany in the summer.
However, the Manchester Evening News now reports that the defender's international commitments with Argentina could affect his availability for their Saturday evening clash with Daniel Farke's Norwich.
Otamendi played the full 90 minutes earlier today as his home nation faced Chile in a friendly, and he is expected to feature once again when they travel to Texas to take on Mexico on Wednesday.
That game is set to kick off at 3am UK time, and with a 12-hour flight to follow, the former Valencia defender will have limited time for rest and recovery before City's fifth Premier League game of the new season.
