Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that he expects to have striker Wilfried Bony available to him soon.
The striker has not travelled with the rest of the squad on their pre-season tour of Australia due to a "physical problem".
However, Pellegrini is optimistic that the Ivory Coast international will be back to full fitness in the near future.
"Bony is in Manchester at the moment – he has some physical problem from his holidays so I think it's better for him to stay in Manchester and not lose the time coming back," he told the club's official website.
"The doctor can say more – I don't think it's too serious but he can't work at the same level as the rest of the squad."
City continued their pre-season tour on Tuesday with a penalty-shootout victory over Roma in Melbourne.
