Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has played down his spat with Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini.
The two collided during Villa's 4-2 extra-time victory over Premier League champions over a tackle from Villa's Joe Bennett on City midfielder Gareth Barry.
Afterwards, Mancini criticised the Scot and said he was "tired" of many opposing Premier League managers, however Lambert has played down the incident.
"If that's what he said then fine," said Lambert. "I respect him as a manager and an ex-player. It wasn't really a spat. It was nothing."
