The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Manchester City eye possible reinforcements.
The 2018-19 champions did not bring in a single player during the January transfer window, despite suffering a defensive shortage for much of the 2019-20 campaign, but they have already started their business for the summer.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Etihad.
Friday morning's Manchester City transfer talk news roundup:
Barcelona 'learn asking price for Lautaro Martinez'
Inter Milan have reportedly informed Barcelona that the asking price for Lautaro Martinez is €90m (£83m).
The Catalan giants have been strongly linked with a move for the 23-year-old in recent months, although the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak has made a deal more difficult for Ronald Koeman's side.
According to Marca, Barca remain locked in talks with Inter over a potential deal for the Argentina international, who is valued by his Italian club at €90m (£83m).
The South American, who still has three years left to run on his contract at San Siro, has scored 30 times and registered eight assists in 84 appearances for Inter in all competitions.
Manchester City are also believed to be long-term admirers of the centre-forward as they prepare for life after Sergio Aguero, with the 32-year-old potentially moving on next summer.
Barca are thought to be keen to discuss a swap deal with Inter for Martinez, who is seemingly viewed as the ideal long-term replacement for alleged Juventus target Luis Suarez.
Barcelona 'refusing to meet Manchester City's Eric Garcia asking price'
Barcelona are reportedly not prepared to pay €30m (£27.5m) to sign Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia during this summer's transfer window.
Garcia, who came through the youth system at Barca, was a regular for City during the 2019-20 campaign, making 20 appearances in all competitions.
The 19-year-old has turned down the chance to pen a new contract at the Etihad Stadium, though, and as it stands, he will be available on a free transfer next summer.
According to Marca, Barca are keen to re-sign the youngster but are not willing to meet City's €30m (£27.5m) asking price for a player who is in the latter stages of his contract.
The report, meanwhile, claims that Pep Guardiola's side are still hopeful that they might be able to convince Garcia to pen a fresh deal in Manchester if he does not leave this summer.
The teenager made his senior debut for Spain against Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League on September 6.
