The January transfer window is now open, with Manchester City continuing to be linked with a host of big names.
Pep Guardiola's side have endured an inconsistent first half of the season and could look to dip their toe into the transfer market again despite a relatively big-spending summer.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Etihad.
Saturday morning's Manchester City transfer talk news roundup:
Barcelona's move for Eric Garcia close to collapsing?
Barcelona's chances of signing Eric Garcia from Manchester City in January are reportedly now slim as elections to select a new president at the Catalan club have been postponed.
The elections, which had been set to take place on January 24, have been delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, throwing the club's transfer plans into doubt.
Barca have been strongly linked with Garcia in recent months, and City boss Pep Guardiola appeared to suggest on Friday that the Spain international was nearing a return to Camp Nou.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the defender's proposed switch to Ronald Koeman's side is now in 'serious doubt', with stand-in president Carles Tusquets unlikely to be given the green light to complete a move.
Garcia's existing deal at the Etihad Stadium is due to expire at the end of June, meaning that he is currently free to speak to foreign clubs over a summer switch.
The 20-year-old has made seven appearances for the Citizens during the 2020-21 campaign.
