Mario Balotelli was pulled from Manchester City’s 1-1 draw with LA Galaxy in the first half for showboating.
The Italian striker scored from the spot earlier in the game and later found himself through on goal, but instead of shooting the 20-year-old dragged the ball back before back-heeling it wide of the net.
Furious City boss Roberto Mancini substituted Balotelli and the pair were involved in a visible spat on the touchline.
He previously incurred the wrath of Manchester United fans by taunting the crowd after an FA Cup semi-final, while in March he threw a dart at a City youth player in a prank gone wrong.
