Barcelona are reportedly prepared to make a bid for Manchester City winger Bernardo Silva.

Despite having three years remaining on his current contract, Silva's future at the Etihad Stadium has recently come under question.

Man City boss Pep Guardiola also added to the speculation after refusing to rule out a departure for Silva in the current transfer window.

While Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with an interest, Barcelona continue to be heavily linked with the Portugal international.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Catalan giants have stepped up their pursuit by informing Man City that they will submit a bid before the transfer window closes.

Although Silva featured in the Community Shield and Sunday's Premier League opener, he is reportedly still open to a move to the Camp Nou this summer.

The 27-year-old has scored 48 goals and contributed 50 assists in 251 appearances for the Premier League champions. body check tags ::
